Insomnia is Easy to Overcome

The hectic lifestyle and unhealthy eating habits has led to huge increase in number of insomniacs. As per the latest survey conducted by a famous wellness magazine, around 40% of the population in the metropolitan cities suffers with some level of sleep problems. Inadequate sleep makes you prone to lot of health problems like diabetes, blood pressure, sperm count reduction, and many more.

How much difficult the journey might be, but it always begins with the first step. So get rid of those unhealthy daily routines and reduce the stress levels to combat insomnia.

Are you workaholic? Then please don’t do it. I would rather suggest you to plan your work as per the deliverables and manage to achieve a work-life balance. Please learn to say No.

Heavy diet intake at night has been one of the major reasons which give rise to insomnia. So cut down the intake of excessive food at night to get a sound sleep. Also, make it a point to keep a gap of at least 2 hours between the dinner and sleeping time.

Cut down the time you spend in front of television and computer screens to get the good sleep. These screens emit the rays which stress the retina and you find it difficult to sleep.

Early to bed and early to rise is the simplest lifestyle rule that you need to follow to get free from insomnia. It is one of the ancient mantra to stay healthy.

Simple Methods to Thwart Obesity

If you are obese then your life is in mess. Obesity is not just the weight problem, however it is an indication of the health issues that would arise in coming future. Health problems like heart attack, diabetes, and hypertension are closely linked with obesity, thence it is of utmost importance to thwart obesity.
Obesity is a difficult problem, but difficult problem always has simple solutions. So, it is simple to overcome obesity. Are you keen to combat your obesity issue, then read ahead.
 
1.     A stroll in the morning for 10 minutes and a brisk walk in the evening for 15 minutes is the simple method to overcome obesity. The process of walking consumes the additional fats available in the body, which primarily stops the weight gain process. Simultaneously within few weeks you will notice the improvement in your stamina, significant change in body posture, and remarkable weight loss.
2.     Increase fluid intake. Drink juices and if you want to opt for the economical way, then drink water. The carbohydrates break down is noted to be very slow in the obese person’s body, this is one of the major reasons why obesity occurs. By increasing the fluid intake the process of carbohydrate combustion is augmented, which henceforth doesn’t allows the carbohydrates to get accumulated in your body.
3.     Diet control helps you to amplify the process to thwart obesity. What you eat is what you are? So avoid the foods that are rich in fats and carbohydrates and increase the foods that are rich in fiber content (oranges, cherries, apples, apricots, dates cauliflower, broccoli). Specifically, I would like to advise to avoid the meat intake to overcome obesity with a faster pace. If you are able to control the diet then defeating obesity wouldn’t be much difficult to you.
4.     Sleep well to live well. Fix your sleep timings and get at least 7 hours of sleep daily to win over obesity. Early to bed and early to rise is the simplest mantra for healthy life. Avoid sleeping in the afternoon and don’t sleep instantly after dinner. Always make it a point to keep a break of about 1 and half hour between the dinner and getting to bed.
If you follow these simple methods, I assure you that within few weeks you will get to see the remarkable improvement in your overall health and your obesity problem will vanish.

Five Healthy Foods to Have in Breakfast

Breakfast is an important and must meal in day. During a night when we don’t have anything and the present nutrients in the body are utilized for body functions, thence making our stomach empty. So, it becomes necessary to have a breakfast. Eating in morning gives our body the necessary amount of energy required for carrying out mundane routines.

As is said rightly—
“Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a minister, evening snacks like a soldier, and dinner like a pauper”

There used to be always a question in my mind about breakfast i.e. what to have in breakfast? I asked this question to many of the physicians and dieticians. They told lot of foods that can be eaten in breakfast. But, I found few of the foods that were common and nearly every dietician recommended them, which are as mentioned–

Milk

How I don’t know, but every new borne, whether of the man or of an animal drinks milk of his mother and if not of mother then of a cow. May be the God has added the nutritional value importance of milk in all living organisms by default.

Milk is known as a complete diet resource. All the nutrients including proteins, vitamins, minerals, fats, and carbohydrates are present in milk in adequate amount.  A glass of milk everyday helps in prevention of illnesses such as respiratory problems, obesity, hypertension, osteoporosis, dental decay, and even some forms of cancer.

Milk is a natural panacea that keeps you away from number of health abnormalities and will keep you healthy forever.

Egg White

An Egg a day helps keep the health problems away. Egg is a rich source of the proteins that are building blocks of human body. Thence, it is very essential to feed young ones with the egg white as it helps in proper body development.
 
This oval-shaped staple is a complete food in itself. It contains numerous vitamins – Vitamin A, B, D, choline, biotin, and many more. Specifically, the egg white is very healthy for you, whereas it is always advisable to not to eat the yellow yolk.

Drink Orange Juice to Overcome Baldness

A glass of Orange juice  every day helps to overcome baldness. The high content of Vitamin C in the Orange juice reduces the dihydrotestosterone level,  which is one of the prominent reason for baldness in men. Astonishingly, it is noted that drinking orange juice daily for about 3 months shows a significant growth of hair. The bald patches slowly starts disappearing within a year and a hair growth improves.

It is recommended to drink the orange juice specifically at breakfast as this helps to increase the production of the testosterone, which is observed to be maximum during the morning time.

How Sports Helps You to Stay Healthy?

Football, basketball, baseball, tennis, and cricket are the games that most of you love to watch. They make us happy when the team we supports wins, and may be sometimes makes us a bit sad as our team loses. Overall watching game is a fun. Moreover, if you play these sports they improve your health.

We know that sportsperson are good in fitness, of course they take lot of efforts to stay fit. The physical activity they perform while playing sports plays a crucial role in maintaining their fitness level at optimum.

Sports include a lot of physical activity and up to certain extent the mental activity. Playing sports includes running on the field, it burns the unnecessary fats deposited in your body, which controls the unhealthy weight gain. If you are overweight or are struggling to control weight then please start playing one of the sports and I assure you that you will be able to achieve the desired weight loss.

Indulging in sports daily for about 30 minutes helps you stay away from the diabetes. Playing sport regulates the insulin production at required level, thence maintaining the sugar levels in body. For the heart patients, it is recommended to consult your physician before getting started with any of the sports.

Foods that Keeps Diabetes in Control

Proper Diet controls Diabetes. If you learn to control your diet, then autonomously your body will control diabetes.  Inculcate the habit of eating in limited quantity, yet nutritious food to restrain sugar levels from increasing.

I followed the healthy eating habit, but was yet not able to control the diabetes. I gave a call to my dietician and questioned for the reasons of failure. This time my dietician suggested with the some of the foods and asked me to include one of them at least in the daily diet. I strictly followed this diet routine and checked blood sugar levels after 2 months. Surprisingly, the results were in range.

Mentioned below is the list of the foods that helped me to control the diabetes:

Bitter Gourd

Bitter gourd (also called a bitter melon) is a fruit of plant Memordica charantia. It contain the high amount of the momordicin I, momordicin II, and cucurbitacin B. These substances make this fruit a very acerbic, thence it shows the anti-diabetic property.

I was suggested to drink the bitter gourd juice on alternate days, or you can also eat bitter gourd raw by cutting into pieces.

When you imbibe the bitter gourd juice, instantly the juice mixes with your blood and starts breaking down the glucose molecules. This reduces the blood sugar levels. Regular intake of this food is recommended to control diabetes.

Fenugreek

Eating fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) promotes the insulin production.  As the required amount of the insulin is produced it controls the sugar levels. It has been noted that people who eat fenugreek daily never suffer with the diabetes.


Fenugreek also helps in the improving the digestion process. From ancient times fenugreek is used a galactagogue. It increases the milk production in the lactating women.

I was advised to soak the fenugreek seeds overnight in the water and then drink that water in the morning. The water use to be very bitter, but I drank it.

Spinach

Spinach has tremendous health benefits and the addition feather to its cap is the control of diabetes. The juice of spinach on twice in a week was recommended by me dietician, which helped me to reduce the sugar levels.


Spinach is the rich source of iron and calcium. Iron helps the pancreas to produce the enough amount of the insulin that culminates the sugars in the body. The absorption of the sugars in the blood is controlled by the Spinach intake and substitutes the polyunsaturated fats for the saturated type, which keeps you safe from the hazardous effects of diabetes.

I was asked to eat the spinach thrice in a week, specifically in the morning meal.

Note: If you leave the diet plan before the stipulated time then the results you yield would be ephemeral. For the permanent results continue by including these foods in your diet at least for a year.

Mouth Ulcers - A Signal for Bad Health

Many of us frequently get the mouth ulcers, and to get rid of these canker sores we use the mouth ulcer gel or take the Vitamin B complex tablets. This soothes the ulcers, and we are able to eat the food properly without any difficulties.

We never take mouth ulcers seriously, and our negligence makes us pay later. Mouth ulcers are the signals that the human body gives about the health problems that are either started or going to erupt in the coming days.

Primarily, mouth ulcer indicates the problem with the digestive system.  In this case, indigestion or excessive production of the acids is the cause of the mouth ulcers. If you use the mouth ulcer gel to cure these mouth ulcers, you will certainly get relieved. But these ulcers will arise again, unless your indigestion issue is treated.

In very rare instances it is being noted that mouth ulcers signals the starting stage of the mouth cancer or HIV. So, it is always advisable to consult the family physical if you are facing the problem of mouth ulcers too frequently.
